How To Use ‘Arc Length’ Command In AutoCAD?
For example, we need to dimension length of an arc as shown by red arrow above in Autocad. To do this, click on little pop-up menu as shown by green arrown above then click on ‘Arc Length’ command as in green box in Autocad.
After entering into the ‘Arc Length’ command in Autocad, click on related arc to be dimensioned in Autocad as shown by red arrow above, then place your dimension line by clicking as shown by green arrow.
You can also edit your Arc Length dimension by double clicking on that as above in Autocad. Select the all dimension text as above with ‘Ctrl+A’;
You can edit the height of dimension text as shown by green arrow in Autocad.
You can edit the formatting of the Arc Length dimension text such as boldness, itallic, color, font etc. as shown by red arrow above. You can also add symbols such as technical drawing symbols as shown by blue arrow above in Autocad.
After you done with editing the linear Arc Length dimension text, just press ‘Esc’ from your keyboard then press ‘Enter’ to save changes.
