Slots are frequently used 2D geometric features in Solidworks to obtain 3D geometric shapes from them. So there are various kinds of slot drawing commands in Solidworks. In this article, we will explain the one of the slot drawing commands called Centerpoint Arc Slot Drawing Command in Solidworks. This is very useful command to draw slots and we will explain how to use it.
How To Use Centerpoint Arc Slot Drawing In Solidworks?

To draw slots, click on little pop-up menu as shown by red arrow menu then click on the Centerpoint Arc Slot command as shown in red box above in Solidworks.

After entering to the Centerpoint Arc Slot command in Solidworks, select a proper plane or feature surface to draw a centerpoint arc slot.

After entering into the Centerpoint Arc Slot command, draw the required arc as; Firstly select the center point of the arc as shown by red arrow above. Then select the starting point of arc as shown by blue arrow then select the end point of arc as shown by green arrow again in Solidworks.

After specifying the last point of arc as shown by green arrow, specify the thickness of the slot as shown by red arrow above by dragging your mouse on Solidworks drawing screen.

You can also define the parameters manually for Centerpoint Arc Slot command as above.
In green box, you can define the X and Y coordinates of center of the arc in Centerpoint Arc Slot command.
In red box, you can specify the radius and angle values of the arc for centerpoint arc slot.
In orange box, you specify the height and width value of the slot in Solidworks.

So drawing centerpoint arc slots in Solidworks is very easy and useful with Centerpoint Arc Command.
