Creating Quick Cylinders In Siemens NX(Illustrated Expression)

We explained the whole quick 3D geometry creation tools of Siemens NX in Mechanicalland. In this article, we will show you how to create quick cylinder geometries with ‘Cylinder’ command in Siemens NX with a very basic example below.

How To Use ‘Cylinder’ Command In Siemens NX?

Click on ‘Cylinder’ command in Siemens NX.

To open the ‘Cylinder’ command in Siemens NX, click on pop up menu called ‘More’ as shown by red arrow above, then click on ‘Cylinder’ command as in red box above.

Define the required parameters for ‘Cylinder’ command in Siemens NX.

After entering into the ‘Cylinder’ command in Siemens NX, the first option is ‘Axis, Diameter and Height’ option as shown in red box. So you need to define a vector that will be the axis of cylinder as shown by red arrow. And specify the point that will be the starting point of axis of cylinder as shown by blue arrow. Then define the diameter and height of the cylinder as in blue box.

If your geometry coincides with other geometries, you can use Boolean options in Siemens NX.
