Creating Tube Geometries In Short Way In Siemens NX(Illustrated Expression)

There are bunch of commands to create basic shapes in Siemens NX in short way. These commands can be very useful to obtain basic shapes. Also there is a command that you can create tube or pipe geometries easily. In this article, we will show you how to create tube and pipe geometries with ‘Tube’ command in Siemens NX with a very basic example below.

How To Use ‘Tube’ Command In Siemens NX?

Starting curve to create tube geometry in Siemens NX.

To use ‘Tube’ command to create pipe geometries in Siemens NX, you need to have a line or sketch to obtain pipe geometry around that like above.

Click on ‘Tube’ command in Siemens NX.

To open the ‘Tube’ command in Siemens NX, click on pop-up menu named ‘More’ as shown by green arrow then click on ‘Tube’ command as in green box.

Define required parameters for ‘Tube’ command in Siemens NX.

After entering into the ‘Tube’ command, you need to select the line segment from which the tube geometry will be created as shown by green arrow. Enter inner and outer diameters of tube geometry as shown by red and blue arrows. Then click ‘OK’ to create tube geometry.

If your tube geometry has intersection with other 3D features in Siemens NX, you can adjust Boolean Options for it.
