Some of the FEA analyses are carried out because o the academic and theoric studies. But engineers generally build their physical models to simulate them in FEA software. But for theoric studies, some theoric tools are required in FEA software. ANSYS® provides various kinds of tools for it.

One of these tools is the ‘nodal pressure’ tool that you can apply pressures as boundary conditions in ANSYS®, in mesh and nodal level. Here, we explain how to define nodal pressure in ANSYS® Mechanical analyses.
How To Define Nodal Pressure In ANSYS® Mechanical?

Right-click on the analysis as shown above then hover your mouse on the ‘Insert’ tab. And click on ‘Nodal Pressure’ as shown in the red box.

If you want to define nodal pressure, you need to create a named selection for it. But this named selection must be node-based. To make the node-based named selection, you need to select the nodes as shown above. Select the node selection tool as shown by the red arrow. Select the nodes that you want to apply pressure on them. Then click on the ‘Apply’ button to apply pressure, in the geometry tab.

After you create the node-based named selection above, select this node-based named selection in ‘Node Pressure’ as shown above.

You can define nodal pressure value as a constant value like above. Also, you can define the pressure value as ‘tabular(time)’ or ‘time function’.
Conclusion
So, the definition of nodal pressures in ANSYS® Mechanical is very simple as you see above.
