Defining Thermal Condition in ANSYS Mechanical

In this article, we will show you how to define the thermal condition of a body or bodies that you imported into ANSYS Mechanical. So, defining Thermal Condition is a very important thing if you have a par tor body that works in much higher temperature degrees, you need to define it in ANSYS Mechanical. How to Define Thermal Condition in ANSYS Mechanical?

Click to select the thermal condition in ANSYS.
Click on Thermal Condition in ANSYS® Mechanical.

To assign a thermal condition to a part in ANSYS Mechanical, right-click on the analysis system as shown by the green arrow above(Static Structural in this example), hover your mouse on the Insert tab as shown in the red box, then click on Thermal Condition as shown by the red arrow.

Select the entities to define thermal condition.
Define your geometry in ANSYS® Mechanical.

Secondly, select the geometry that you will define your thermal condition as shown by the green arrow above. You can choose only bodies in this boundary condition. After that, click on the Apply button in the Geometry section of Thermal Condition in ANSYS Mechanical, as shown by the red arrow above.

Enter the magnitude.
Define the Temperature.

And then, define your temperature value as shown in the red box above in ANSYS® Mechanical.

Defining thermal condition in ANSYS is very simple like this.
