Sometimes, there is no place for your additional dimensionings in technical drawing sheet. In these kinds of cases, you need to make your dimensions smaller. Autocad provides a command called as ‘Jogged’ to give much more small dimensionings to round objects. In this article, we will show you how to give smaller dimensionings to round objects in Autocad with ‘Jogged’ command.
How To Use ‘Jogged’ Command In Autocad?

For example, you need to dimension a round object like above in Autocad, but do not have place to put your radius or diameter dimensionings. To overcome that situation, click on pop up menu as shown by red arrow above in Autocad then click on ‘Jogged’ command from that list.

After entering into the ‘Jogged’ command in Autocad, click to select the round object that you want to dimension it first. Then you need to select the side that you want to plave your jogged line, as inside or outside of the round object.

For example we clicked on a point as shown by red arrow above. You can put your dimension line like that according to empty places on your technical drawing. Then place the text of jogged dimension by clicking second time. This logic is valid for jogged lines that created inside the circle or round object.
The use of ‘Jogged’ command to dimension round objects in Autocad is very easy like above. Do not forget to leave your comments and questions about ‘Jogged’ command in Autocad below. Your precious feedbacks are very important for us.
