Petroleum based fluids: They are the types of fluids or oils that produced from the petroleum. They are very common as hydraulic fluids.

PI/PID controller: In the control system applications, PID controllers are the types of controllers where the proportional, integral and derivative of the error signals are used for the correction. In PI contoller, derivative of the error signal is not used.

Pilot operated check valve: These are the valves that allows free fluid flows from the inlet port to the outlet port.

Pilot operated regulator: They are the regulators in pneumatic and hydraulic systems that are self-operated with external registrations.

Pilot operated valve: They are the valves that controls the limited-flow to feed to a separate pilot valves. They are very common in the hydraulic applications.

Pneumatic pipes: They are the pipes in pneumatic systems that transfers the high pressure air between the different elements of pneumatic systems. They are very flexible to withstand to the motions of actuators. And also, they are very durable to high pressures.

Piston compressor: Type of compressor that pressurize the air with the action of reciprocating pistons inside them. The movements of pistons take the air from the environment, and squeeze it to the accumulator. They are very common in pneumatic systems.

Plastic tubing: Tubing systems in hydraulic and pneumatic machinery that made from plastic materials. These tubings are very flexible in nature.

PLC: The acronym of the “Programmable Logic Controller” which we use to obtain control systems of electromechanical systems such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Plug valve: In the plug valve mechanisms, there is a rotating part that rotates between the open and closed positions. This rotation save the seals from the fluid flow path.

Poise: Poise is a unit of viscosity which equals to the centimeter-gram-second.

Poppet valve: They are the valves to control the intakae and exhaust gases in internal combustion engines.

Port: Attachment places of cables and electronic connections to electronical applications. For example, USB ports are the types of these ports.

Position control of spool: The cylinderical unit that has a large diameter land, machined to slide in a close-fitting bore of the directional control valve body.

Positive displacement device: They are the devices that moves the fluid in one direction with the help of a enclosed volumes. Lots of the types of the pumps are the positive displacement machines.

Positive seal: They are the seals that gasketed to fully seal that adjusts the material flow.

Power: In a specific unit of time, the total work done is the general definition of pwer in machinery. And the unit of power in SI units is Watts. And in English units the definition of pwer in horsepower which equals to the 33.000 foot-pounds per minute.

Precharge: In high voltage systems, precharge is the preliminary charge to operate high voltage DC applications.

Pressure control proportional valve: They are the electromechanical valves that we use to convert the proportional signal to the compressed air output in the pneumatic systems. ,

Pressure drop in piping: Pressure drop or head loss is the total flow energy loss of the flowing fluid in pipe because of the wall friction and other irreversibilities.

Pressure droop: Decrease in the pressur of the flowing fluis at the outlet because of the increase in the flow rate in a pressure reducing regulator.

Pressure line filter: They are the filtering systems between the pumps, valves and cylinders to filter the contaminants and pollutans in the hydraulic fluids in hydraulic systems.

Primary air treatment: They are the activations on pneumatic systems that comprises the air filtering and air dryng. These applications are very important for the proper working of these systems.

Process control: Manual or automotic control of the different kinds of mechanical processes such as manufacturing processes.

Process variable: In different kinds of processes, process variables are the important factors that affects the time, total work or production and expences of these processes.

Programmable electronic system: Electronic or electromechanical systems that we can program and update the software.

Prohibition notice: Notices on processes or machines that shows all the prohibited actions or uses. It is very important to read all the prohibition notices.

Proportional controller: Controller systems where the control feedbakc signals are used with proportional way to obtain the correction signals for actuators.

Proportional valves: Proportional valves are the electromechanical systems where the change of the output take place in th proportion with the change in the input. So, they are very important applications of proportional controllers.

Proportional valve control cards: They are the electronic cards that has relays on them to control the proportional valves which have proportional controls on them.
