Terms Starting with the Letter “T”

T port: They are very important parts in hydraulic systems.

Tank air filters: In the pneumatic systems, they are the filters that filters the incoming air into the tank. These tanks are containing high pressure air inside them.

Taper threads: Threaded taper geometry which has conical shape.

Technical normal condition: In thermodynamics and scientific calculationts, these considitions tate the air at 20 Celsius degrees, 1 atmosphere pressurei.

Teflon seal: Sealing equipment which the material is teflon. They are vey good in the faucet applications.

Turbulent flow: Turbulent flow is a type of fluid flow where the fluid particles have irregular motions such as mixing or vortices. Fluid particles are not tracing same streamlines in turbulent flows.

Telescopic cylinder: They are the hydarulic cylinders in hydarulic systems that elongates with th eincreasing hydraulic liquid inside them. They are very common in the truck dumpers.

Temperature scales: They are the scales that states the measure of temoeratures according to the different reference points. For example Kelvin and Rankine ar the scientific temperature scales in SI ans US systems. Also, Celsius and Fahrenheit are the common temperature sclaes in SI and US systems.

Temperature transducers: They are the types of transducers that provides proportional electronic signal with the increasing temperature. This types of transudcers are very common in the electronic circuits and control systems.

Thermocouple: Thermocouples are the thin cables that measures the temperature with the help of the conteaction between the metal couples. And they convert this conraction into proportional signals.

Threaded connections: They are mechanical connections where the thereaded fasteners or systems that are used. The most important example for threaded connections is the screws.

Three term controller: This is the another name of the PID controllers.

Time delay valve: They are types of electromechanical valves that actuates with the electronic signal after a specific time.

Torque: Torque is the total effect of a force that acting from a distance. The unit of the torque is N.m or lbf.ft in English units.

Torque motor: They are the types of electric motores that brushless and permanent magnet synchronous motors does not require and transmission.

Torque rating: Torque of bolt or a fastener that we use in the mechanical applications.

Torque running: A system or mechanism that requires an amoun of torque value. After that torque value, it starts rotatinmg or running.

Torque stall: The total torque of a motor or a rotational device where the rotational speed is zero.

Torque starting: The minimum required torque to start the shaft rotaing in a mechanical system.

Tubing: A hydraulic, pneumatic, sewing and fitting systems that contains various kinds of tubes inside it.

Turbine flowmeter: They are the systems that uses the mechanical energy of a fluid flow to rotate a rotor.

Two stage compressor: They ar ethe compressors systems that compresses the air in two times in one rotation. So their efficiencies are much more higher than the other conventional ones.

Two wire system: Wiring systems in telecommunication and electronic cirsuits that uses two wires between the two systems for the two sided communication and signal transfer.

Torque converter: Torque converters are the types of fluid couplings that transfers the rotating torque with the help of fluid.

Thermosettings: Thermoset polymers are the class of polymers where the extra linakges between the molecules occur with increase of the temperature. So, we can not melt the thermoset plastics again and again.

Thermoplastics: Unlike the thermoset plastics, there are no cross-linkling structures occur upon heating. So, we can melt the thermoplastic materials again and again.

Tyre–road friction: Total dragging friction between the tyre and road while driver drives the automobile.

Traction control systems: Electromechanical systems that has esensors on th etyres to control the traction o f vehicles according to the speed.
