Blocks are generally one-piece of sketch entities in Autocad. When you import a block inside Autocad drawing window, it will come as a solid one-piece. How To Explode Blocks In AutoCAD?

As you see above, blocks are generally in one piece, and there is an only one insertion point. But you can explode this block in Autocad with ‘Explode’ command into separate pieces.

To enter ‘Explode’ command in Autocad, just type ‘X’ in command window as shown by red arrow above. Then click on ‘Explode’ command as shown in red box above.

After entering into the ‘Explode’ command in Autocad, click to select the blocks needed to be exploded like above. To explode the selected items, just right click on drawing window to complete the job.
