How To Extract Bodies In Siemens NX®?

For example, we want to extract another body from this geometry above in Siemens NX®.

To do it, click on the pop-up menu named ‘More’ as shown by the green arrow then click on the ‘Extract Geometry’ command as shown by the green box above.

After entering the command, click on the ‘Body’ option from the pop-up menu as in the green box.

Select the required body that the copy of it will be obtained as shown by the green arrow above. The settings above are very important to know about the ‘Extract Geometry’ command in Siemens NX®.
Associative: If you select this option, created geometry will not be an independent body from its parent object. There will be a link between the parent and the extracted body.
Hide Original: If you choose this option, the parent object will disappear from the drawing screen of Siemens NX®.
Use Display Properties Of Parent Object: If you assigned some kinds of appearances or colors to your parent body, the same appearance properties will be valid for the new object if you select this option.
Copy Threads: All the parent properties of parent objects will be copied to the newly created body.
