Solidworks sketching relations are very useful tool to give required relations between sketch entities. With these relations, sketching canbe much more easy in Solidworks. All the sketch relations are explained in Mechanicalland. In this content, we explained how to give ‘Parallel’ relation between Solidworks sketch entities, with a very basic example below.
How To Give Parallel Relation Between Solidworks Sketch Entities?

As you see above example, there are two of sketch lines in Solidworks sketching. We need to make them parallel. So we need to give parallel relation to them. To do this, press Ctrl from your keyboard then click on them respectively to select them in Solidworks sketching.

After selecting required lines, ‘Properties’ window will be appeared at left side of Solidworks interface. From that menu, click on ‘Parallel’ from ‘Add Relation’ section, then click on little ‘Yes’ button as shown by green arrow above.
As you see from above, parallel relation between the two of lines is provided. Two of little ‘parallel’ relation icons are appeared beside two of lines as shown by red arrows.

Also you can delete added parallel relation in Solidworks sketching. Right click on one of these little relation icons as shown by red arrrow above, then click on ‘Delete’ as in red box in Solidworks sketching.
