Making Fillets In AutoCAD(Illustrated Expression)

Fillets are frequently used features in technical drawings. In most manufacturing processes, there is no product that is not have these fillets on their edges. In this article we will show you how to make fillets on corners of the 2D sketches in Autocad with ‘Fillet’ command.

How To Use Fillet Command In Autocad?

Click on ‘Fillet’ command above in Autocad.

Filleting of 2D sketches in Autocad is a very basic process. For example we will create fillet structures on 2D sketch above in Autocad. To do this, click on ‘Fillet’ command as shown by red arrow above.

Enter the radius value of fillets.

After entering into the ‘Fillet’ command in Autocad, click on the Radius option to enter a radius value for fillets as shown by red arrow above.

After clicking on ‘Radius’ option, enter the radius value as shown by red arrow above in Autocad, then press Enter from your keyboard.

Click to select the corners that needed to be filleted in Autocad.

After entering the radius value, click to select the required edges to fillet the corner as shown by red arrows above.

In this option, you can do only 1 fillet operation. To do multiple operations in one command, click on ‘Multiple’ option in ‘Fillet’ command in Autocad.

Click on ‘Multiple’ option in Fillet command.

To make multiple fillets respectively without leaving the command, click on ‘Multiple’ option after entering into the ‘Fillet’ command in Autocad as shown by red arrow above.

You can make your fillets consecutively with ‘Multiple’ option.
