Moving Objects In AutoCAD(Illustrated Expression)

In this article we will show how to move objects is Autocad 2D. This is very useful feature of Autocad that you can move or displace a selected objects or drawing to another section of drawing scheme. Moving objects are performed by ‘Move’ command in Autocad.

How To Use ‘Move’ Command In AutoCAD?

Click on ‘Move’ command in Autocad.

To move objects, click on ‘Move’ command as shown by red arrow above in Autocad.

Select the objects that you want to move in Autocad.

After entering to the ‘move’ command, click the objects that you want to move in Autocad drawing scheme.

Select the reference point to move the object in Autocad.

After selecting the object that needed to be moved, right click on screen to end the selection, then select the reference point of the movement as shown by red arrow above in Autocad.

Place the objects to the desired location in Autocad.

You can place the selected objects to a desired point by picking from the selected reference point as shown by red arrow above in Autocad. Click to finish the moving with ‘Move’ command in Autocad.

Use of ‘Move’ command is very simple like that in Autocad as you see.

    Hi, I have would like to move it to a specific point? I want to move a box 23.53mm down, but when I try and enter the coordinates autocad tells me my input is invalid, even if I type the command out as referenced in their prompt. Are you able to help me?
