Offsetting Curves And Sketch Entities In Siemens NX

Offsetting is a common features of nearly all CAD softwares. Siemens NX also has offset command for sketching. In here, we explain the offseting of sketch objects in Siemens NX with ‘Offset Move Curve’ command, with a very basic example below.

How To Use ‘Offset Move Curve’ Command In Siemens NX Sketching?

Select the curve or curves to be offset in Siemens NX.

To offset curves and sketch entities in Siemens NX, you need be inside an active sketch like above. Or you need to open the editing of sketch of curves and sketch entities to use ‘Offset Move Curve’ command in Siemens NX. Click on ‘Offset Move Curve’ command in Siemens NX as shown by orange arrow.

After entering into the ‘Offset Move Curve’ command, click to select the sketches or curves to be offsetted as shown by green arrow above. Then enter the distance value of offset as shown in orange box above.
